My son was almost 8 when he said this. (Now that he’s 10, I’m surprised I mentioned it. This sort of thing is so much a part of our conversations now. He loves to argue – my fault, I’m sure….)
I used to get upset when my son argued with me. Now I’m pleased (at least upon reflection, if not always in the moment) because he brings evidence to our arguments, and can be very logical about his perspective.
